I'm currently downing NyQuil and gummy bears as fast as I can to keep pace with my fever and sore throat and sundry other flu-like complaints. I can't taste anything, which makes food somewhat less appealing.
Which made me start thinking about cookies.
Wouldn't it be nice if they sold Girl Scout cookies all year 'round?
Probably not. My guess is that I would get bored with them and not purchase them as often. Kind of like Oreo's. If Oreo's were seasonal, I would make sure to be the first in line each year. But they aren't. So I buy them...hardly ever.
BUT you know, if you DO want GS cookies around all the time...I've found {a few} solution{s}.
1. Bake them yourself. Did you know there are just as many DIY recipes as there are cookies and candy bars? I even saw a homemade Twix recipe the other day! Twix recipe lady: you are awesome.
2. How about these lip balm versions? Best part: zero calorie dessert.
3. Give in and buy some. This year is the Girl Scout's 100th anniversary! Thanks, Huffington Post.
{these are the all-new Savannah Smiles}
And now you know.
7:00 pm bedtime? Don't mind if I do.
LOVE!
