When I was living in Mexico, I went to this awesome fiesta...it was an end-of-school party at my host-brother's school. And it is still in the top ten best parties I've ever attended.
What made it so epic? Confetti eggs.
You take these eggs that have been emptied and washed, fill them with confetti, cover the big hole with rice paper, and then run around smashing them on each other's heads.
Makes you want to throw a party, huh?
Isn't it strange how things like that just pop into your head? I'm sitting in the Library, studying for a bevy of mid-terms that are just sneaky-sneaking up on me...and start thinking about Mexico. Funny, but it happens every year around this time. Now that it has started, I cannot be held accountable for the next actions I take. Namely, buying a plane ticket to Acapulco and never coming back. {grins}
Hope you have a homework-free-confetti-filled weekend!
love.

There's an annual street festival in Santa Barbara, California called "Fiesta" where everyone goes around smashing confetti eggs on each other too...
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat! And it would be an easier way to satisfy my fiesta cravings!
