the best chocolate chip cookies

Yesterday I had an epiphany. "My" chocolate chip cookie recipe really is the best. 

The events that led to this conclusion are as follows: I made chocolate chip cookies. Standard recipe. Zero variation. And the cookies fell short of my party-in-my-mouth expectations. 

No personality, zero originality, completely bland.
