Essential in best friends is the ability to tell you your character flaws in a loving and validating way. Or completely harshly, because either way you know they would still at least try to pull your car out of a ditch bare-handed or pretend to love the sandwich you made them even though they loathe peanut butter to their core.

So picture this: I'm on a metro. In Paris. Well, under Paris to be precise. Friend and I are about to part, and I have three line changes to make before getting on the red line home. We're chatting, obviously. And I comment that I really don't like plans and blah blah blah...she looks me squarely in the eye and says, "what are you talking about Brynn? You just checked that metro map at least five times."

Just call me Fastidious.

Hence checking advance homework assignments, my booklist, class schedule, comparing prices on books, calculating, asking opinions on credit hours, and even planning lunches. Prepared? I like to be.

Will I write my papers all in the first week? Not likely. But I will have a Google Doc open and titled, just waiting and ready for whenever inspiration strikes.
